Home School Directory

A directory of ‘real’ educational resources for the liberty-minded household. This is a community driven directory, however Parents For Liberty has given each listing its stamp of approval. We encourage you to contribute, it’s free!

We use the term ‘school’ merely because this is a common expression. Home education directory is a more accurate description of this resource.

Our goal is to create the most useful home education directory on the internet.

Youth Organizations

Austin Area Homeschoolers

From their website: Austin Area Homeschoolers is a network of families who homeschool or are exploring the possibility. We are an inclusive group composed of members who are willing to share their homeschooling experiences. Each member speaks only to their individual experience. We respect each family’s educational choices.
We do not charge dues, and there are no special membership requirements.
We invite everyone to participate in our activities. In addition, we do not specifically endorse or promote the views of individuals, groups, or organizations whose names may be shared as resources; such references are for your information and investigation only.

We have a free email list for homeschooling parents. Currently there are over 2200 subscribers in our announcement list. The email lists are broken in to announcements of interest to homeschoolers, general discussion including but not limited to homeschooling topics, helping homeschooling your own child at home, and high-school homeschool discussion.

Foundation For Economic Education

FEE’s mission is to inspire, educate and connect future leaders with the economic, ethical and legal principles of a free society.

For young minds interested in an introduction to free market economics and its foundations in the broader philosophy of individual liberty, FEE is the best source for inspiring content, programs and community. FEE is not an academic or political organization; instead our focus is making the economic, ethical and legal principles of a free society widely accessible, easily understood and energizing to young minds. We do this by delivering content that is substantive and thoughtful in forms most convenient to our customers, including in-person seminars and lectures, web-delivered content, printed material in book and magazine form, and networking opportunities. At FEE, young people—and educators who work with them—will find an exciting and optimistic introduction to the Austrian and classical liberal traditions in free market economics as well as opportunities to connect with other young people and free-market organizations around the world.

The mission of the Bill of Rights Institute is to educate young people about the words and ideas of America’s Founders, the liberties guaranteed in our Founding documents, and how our Founding principles continue to affect and shape a free society. It is the goal of the Institute to help the next generation understand the freedom and opportunity the Constitution offers.

There are free PDF copies of The Constitution, The Bill of Rights, The Declaration of Independents, and many more Founding Documents.
